Of course, no one wants to experience issues with the tracking units. But these do occasionally arise. Recognizing and reporting offline units, erratic reporting and other problems is crucial for quick resolution. GPS Trackit provides multiple tools to assist you in understanding that a problem has occurred and how to resolve it.
- Offline Indicator
When viewing the Maps tab, a specific indicator is available to show that a unit has stopped reporting.

- Stopped Reporting Alerts
Alerts are designed to keep you in the know, on the go! These notifications are sent via email or text message and can be directed to whomever needs to receive them. GPS Trackit strongly recommends setting up the Stopped Reporting alert as soon as the tracking units have been installed. This is to ensure that you’re aware of offline devices even when away from the platform. You may also choose to set up the On Event/ Main Power Off Alert to specifically monitor for power loss to the tracking devices.

- Reports
Reports are your ticket to reviewing your vehicle’s history, seeing where they have been and what they have been doing. In terms of device problems, the Non Reporting report is an invaluable tool in recognizing that units have stopped performing properly. This report provides a list of currently non-reporting devices, showing the time & date they produced data along with their last known location. Like all reports, Non Reporting can be retrieved on demand and/or scheduled for automatic delivery.
