At the bottom of the list is Send Messages, a one-way messaging tool. The recipient will not be able to respond. This feature should be used for items that do not require a response. Within the software there are Contacts and Drivers. They can be messaged from here, either one at a time or to multiple recipients at once. The message will be received as either a text or an email depending on how the Driver or Contact was created.
