Why Are Contacts Important?
The GPS Trackit software provides Alert capabilities, allowing for in-the-moment notifications regarding vehicles behaviors and data. A vehicle is excessively speeding? A unit has stopped reporting? Equipment has left the assigned job site? Be notified about these events and much more by setting up Alerts!
Along with in the moment Alerts, GPS Trackit also provides Scheduled Reports. Need to review the mileage every week? Or look over the previous day's speeding violations? Setting a scheduled report means having that information delivered directly to you without needing to login and search for the data. Alerts, Scheduled Reports and Maintenance require Contacts.

How Are Contacts Created?
Contacts are created in the Accounts tab. Click on Accounts, then Contacts. To add a Contact, click on the black Plus button in the upper left corner.
Give each Contact a unique Title in order to tell them apart. This goes in the Title field on the right. Each Contact will be either an email address OR cell phone number, including cell provider.
If the Contact wants to receive some items via text but other via email, create two Contacts. One for each method of contact. Make sure Contacts title contains either ‘email’ or ‘cell’ in order to tell them apart.
Contacts can be edited or deleted at any time. Hovering over the Contact will produce a 3-dot button. Click the button to see the edit and delete options.
