What Are the Driver Statuses?
As part of the GPS Trackit Driver Time Card functionality customer statuses can be provided for the Driver to choose from as they clock in and out.
Can I Create Custom Statuses?
Four statuses are pre-loaded: Clock In, Clock Out, Meal Break In and Meal Break Out. Additional statuses are created in the Driver Status section of the Manage tab.
To create a new Status, click the plus (+) button in the upper left corner.
Enter the Status Name, then whether or not this status should contribute to Accumulation Time. Accumulation Time means that the Status adds time to the Driver’s Time Card. This allows for more control over which statuses contribute to payroll/billable hours and which ones don’t. Simply set the toggle to Yes or No as needed.
Once the Status is set, press the Save button.
To edit or remove a Status, hover the mouse over the entry on the list so that the 3-dot button appears. Click the button to see the edit and delete options. The pre-loaded Statuses cannot be altered or deleted.
What Are the Benefits of Driver Statuses?
Driver Statuses are particularly useful when different work tasks require different pay rates. For example, an employee is paid one rate while in transit but another rate when on the job site. Setting up custom statuses will allow the employee to switch from one to the next right from their phone. And this data is immediately available on the Cloud software via Reports.
