Communications between Drivers and the office/dispatch go a long way towards effective management. GPS Trackit Driver provides two-way messaging between Drivers and the software Users. These are real-time communications that take the form of in-app messaging.
To send messages to the Drivers from the office, simply click the chat icon in the upper right corner of the software. The Chat feature will open by default.
Next, click the plus (+) button to view the list of Drivers.
Select the Driver in question from the list. When selected, any prior messaging history will then appear.
If the icon next to the Driver name is Green, they are currently logged onto the GPS Trackit Driver app.
Type the outgoing message into the field at the bottom and press the send button. Drivers will receive an in-app notification that new messages have been received.
Incoming chat message from Drivers to the Office present as a pop-up in the upper right corner of the platform.
Clicking the pop-up will open the chat conversation.
Driver-to-Driver communications can be disabled by the Primary User, via the link found in the profile button in the upper right hand corner.
Messaging history can be accessed and downloaded and/or scheduled for automatic delivery via Reports.
