*Note: This information is regarding the Xirgo in-vehicle cameras, which look like this:
Cameras that do not look like the picture above are VidFleet models. VidFleet content can be found here. For questions regarding camera type, please contact GPS Trackit.
The GPS Trackit software identifies certain events and behaviors from the unit and sends the related photos to the Video tab for review by Users.
The entries are sorted using the filter in the upper right corner.
Filtering options begin with choosing between Units and Drivers. Once that choice has been made, then the appropriate Tags should be selected along with a Date and Time. Use Event type to seek specific event types, such as Hard Brake or Hard Turn.
In addition, the Clips can also be sorted by the Media type (Snapshot or Video Clip).
Be sure to click on Apply to see the results. The requested clips will now appear for review.
If search results are returned, they’ll be listed for review. To review an event, simply click on it.
Pictures taken during the Event will now be visible. Use the tabs at the top to navigate from one picture to the next. If the camera has more than one camera view, they’ll be placed side-by-side.
The Notes field provided to the right can be utilized for annotations regarding the clip. Notes can be added at any time during the 90 day window during which the Event is available. Multiple notes can be added and will be displayed showing both the order in which they were posted and who posted them.
To the left above the images are some additional buttons. Unneeded clips can be removed using the Trash Can. The Download button allows the imagery to be downloaded and saved offline. Imagery is available on the Cloud platform for 90 days. If there is a need to keep it longer it must be downloaded. Once images have expired, they cannot be recovered.
Delete and Download can also be found on each video card when looking at the Video page. Look in the lower right corner of the card and hover the mouse over the 3-dot button.
The Star icon allows the clip to be saved for quick future access, similar to bookmarking a website. Starred items are accessed via the Starred button at the upper left. Starring does not extend the 90 day expiration deadline.
The Requested tab is used to find images that weren’t automatically clipped as part of an identified event.
Click on Requested, then click the black plus (+) button in the upper left corner.
Use the filter on the right hand side to choose the vehicle in question. After choosing the vehicle a new field will appear to select a date and time.
Press Save to submit the request. Please remember that if the camera was off for the date & time requested, then no data will be returned. And if the camera is off when the request is made, it will not be processed until the camera comes back on. However the request will not need to be resent.
If the Request feature was used to find particular images, the ability to make notes, download and delete mentioned previously will be available. The only difference is that the clips won’t be labeled as an event, they’ll just say Complete. Any clip requests that can’t be fulfilled will be labeled Failed.
All Requested Clips are available within the Video tab for 90 days once generated. To keep a clip past 90 days, it must be downloaded. The Download option is found in the lower right corner of the clip. Any clip requests that can’t be fulfilled will be labeled Failed.
