What Are Map Settings?
Map settings refer to the customizable options and configurations available for the GPS Trackit software Maps tab. These settings allow users to tailor their map view according to their preferences and specific needs.
Where Are the Map Settings?
Under Layer Control is the button for Map settings. This icon is the third from the top on the list.
What Settings Options are Available?
The first entry on the list controls the cluster function for the unit icons. Clustering can help streamline the view for those customers with a large number of units.
Label options are used to control which, if any, labels are visible on the Map.
Labels will show either the Unit Name or the Assigned Driver. Unit and Driver cannot show concurrently. Use of Labels is recommended.
Landmarks toggles the Landmark indicators on and off. Depending on how far out the map is zoomed, these indicators may not be immediately visible when toggling this feature. To keep the map as streamlined as possible, landmark indicators do not appear until zoomed in on and will vanish when zooming back out. Use the sliders to adjust the zoom level for the Landmark indicators.
The Map Settings button also contains some Geofences options. The Geofences button allows all the geofence boundaries to be hidden at once, if desired.
To keep the Map as streamlined as possible, the Geofence boundaries will vanish when zooming out. Zoom levels to see the icons are easily adjustable, using the sliders.
The final Map Settings options is the Animation toggle.
When set to Activated, the Animation option results in a near real-time experience as the vehicle icons move around the map to reflect vehicle movement.
*Note: Animation may not be available for tracking units. Please Contact GPS Trackit with any questions.
